Information You Provide
To create a reading, you enter a few details about yourself and a second person:
- Your email address.
- First names for the two people in the reading.
- Birth dates, and optionally birth times and birth cities, which are used to calculate each person's sun and moon signs.
Please only enter another person's details if you have their permission to do so.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, and the pages you view. This is used to operate and secure the site. Luna does not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.
Cookies
Luna itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not store your reading on your device. Our hosting and font providers may use limited, essential cookies for security and performance.
How We Use Your Information
- To calculate signs and generate and display your compatibility reading.
- To deliver your reading and send occasional related emails, if you provided your email address.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the site.
How Your Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. To run Luna, limited information is shared with the service providers that make the tool work:
- Netlify (hosting and form storage) — when you tap Reveal, your email, the two first names, and the calculated signs are stored as a form submission we can access.
- Anthropic (the AI that writes the readings) — the two first names and the calculated sun and moon signs are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your reading. Your email address is not sent to Anthropic.
- Open-Meteo (location lookup) — if you enter a birth city, that city name is sent to Open-Meteo to determine its location and time zone for the sign calculation.
- Email/CRM provider — we may pass your email and submission details to an email or CRM service (such as HighLevel) to manage our mailing list and send you your reading.
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them.
- Legal reasons — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or the security of the site.
Your Email Choices
If you receive emails from us, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. You may still receive your reading and essential messages related to your request.
Data Retention
We keep form submissions and mailing-list entries for as long as needed to operate Luna and our mailing list, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honor applicable rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
